MMA Innovation Award
Each year, the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) Connect 351 Conference
provides a valuable opportunity for municipal leaders from 351 communities across the
Commonwealth to come together, share best practices, and exchange ideas that help
communities deliver better services for residents.
On January 23, 2026, the Town of Andover was recognized at Connect 351 in Boston.
Andover was one of just three communities statewide to receive a Kenneth Pickard
Municipal Innovation Award. The Award recognizes Andover at Work, a photo project
by local photographer David Whitney that shines a light on the important but often
unseen work that Town employees do every day.
Photographs from the project were exhibited at the event and recognized for “Elevating
Municipal Service and Building Public Trust in Local Government Through Art”
